How can it be Monday already? And how is it that I still don’t have any of my homework done? What is going on with my weekends?
I’ve suddenly become very bad at managing my time. Last quarter I was on it, getting things done on Saturdays or Sunday afternoons had it gone longer than anticipated but always before the week began. This year? Man, I’m lucky if I remember to crack open a book!
Of course this weekend was no different. I tried very much to do something, though I did at least think about it this time around. I thought about it several times during the day only to be derailed by other stuff. Stuff like talking to Akilah about her proposal and planning. They’re getting married this summer! If she can pull it off then I feel a lot better about the short timeline the bf previously proposed – though her future mother-in-law is a wedding planner so I mean, that’s like cheating. Okay, not really.
I think Steph and Tim planned theirs in a span of six-months too without a planner so hey, it’s doable. And definitely doable with The Binder. But I’m expecting plenty of changes since the bf hasn’t looked at it and since he says he won’t until we’re engaged.
Anywho, my grandparents also stopped by to visit with my dad, which was actually kind of surprising. But it was good for both my mom and dad; my dad got to see them and my mom got to talk to someone who understands what it’s like dealing with the men folk in the family. They are all the same and it cracks me up because they refuse to see it.
I ended up jumping ship and headed up to Sacramento to hang out with Jacki and play with the Wii she got for Christmas. She also had the Wii Fit so we all took turns playing the little mini games they had for that, which was fun. Of course this got my competitive gene working overtime.
And imagine my embarrassment to find out it would take me 7 total tries to successfully land two jumps in the Ski Jump game. Sigh. At least Jacki was completely understanding of my incessant need to get it done.
It was definitely worth it too because I ended up blowing away everyone else’s score. Sure it didn’t count but still.
Sunday was another chill, no-homework day for me. I really need to do better. Maybe I’ll start this weekend. Either way I’m going to have to get going on my accounting homework…that sucker is due the day of the midterm, which is…coming up? Some day. I really need to buy a calendar too while I’m at it.
Because I woke up Sunday morning all casual like until I realized, at 9:15 am, that I was supposed to be assisting in Sunday school. Sunday school that starts at 9:20 am. Um, yeah that wasn’t going to happen. I felt horrible because I had missed out on the big Sunday school teachers meeting the week before because I just couldn’t get out of bed [and that was after I thought it was the week before…sigh]. This month was not going well at all.
Until I checked the schedule and found out that I wasn’t scheduled to assist.
List of things to buy: monthly calendar.
